I really liked it and nice textureWhen I bought this notepad I thought it was a hard cover but it is actually soft cover, no big deal I made it work. If he pages are a good thickness so ink won’t bleed through the pages which is a plus. I will rip pages out of my notebooks every so often, what I love about this notepad is the when I take the pages out is doesn’t leave behind the small piece of paper the some times get stuck in the spine, huge plus! The only thing I’ve had a probable with is once I ripped out some of the pages the spine will twist and the pages fall out, lucky if y catch it when it’s starting to happen it’s an easy fix. I like this notebook but I will probable try something different next time.I like the sturdiness, the paper thickness is good, sturdy. Price was good. My issue is that they stuck labels on the back cover, and one was near impossible to remove. It left a heavy sticky residue that would not budge with alcohol.I was able to scrape much off but it is still very sticky.Great refill for plannerI purchased this notebook in both the 5 by 8 and the 6 by 9. This one was actually 4 7/8 by 8, so not a full A5 size like it was marketed as. I honestly should have known better, considering there were plenty of reviews saying that is was just a cheap notebook dressed up to look nice. Granted, I will give them that. I like how it looks and how narrow the line widths are, but that's all it has going for it. The paper is your standard, cheap 99 cent notebook quality. I will keep them to use, even if I can only use one side of the sheets, depending on which pen I use. I can't comment on its durability, since I just received them yesterday, but the floppiness of the covers make me question whether or not they'll last very long. I had hoped they would be a sturdier cardboard or even cardstock. Maybe I'm just used to the more expensive notebooks meant for fountain pens. However, I would recommend you wait for a price drop on these. The smaller one I got for 5.85 and the larger was 5.44, but anything more than that, I would not consider worth it. I would recommend using a ballpoint pen on this paper, and MAYBE a thin, mild colored gel pen. Anything else will ghost through and eventually bleed. For the price, they're not terrible, but if you're looking for smooth as butter, ghost proof paper to use gel pens or fountain pens with, I'd spend the extra few dollars to get a maruman mnemosyne notebook.I've been using this notebook for several years. I am always amazed that I cannot find this item in stores that sell other Cambridge notebooks. It's a very simple spiral bound notebook with lined pages and a durable black cover. Uncomplicated. Good paper. Pages are perforated if one needs to be removed. Size and thickness are perfect. Easily managed in a large group setting with the spiral construction (can fold pages back). Perfect for use in church with my Bible. No other notebook works as well as this one. Lines are pale blue.
