This notebook is well made with a nice cover, decent pages, and the perfect size to pop in my purse when I’m on the go. It has a little expandable pocket in the back inside cover if you need to put coupons or ticket stubs etc. and a elastic for pen holder.It’s perfect for grocery lists, journals, whatever you could need it for. I’m glad it came as a set of two.The books come in a protective sleeve. Thick, hard covers. Good, thicker quality paper. All around a great buy!Good quality covers and pages are thick enough to use with fountain pens. There is some ghosting with fountain pens however but no bleed through. I tried four different pens with various inks. As far as durability, it looks sturdy enough but like with most things, time will tell. At the time of purchase, these were going for $4.90. At the time of this review, $6.90. So, they have jumped up $2. Considering this listing is for TWO journals for $6.90, I would still say they are a good deal. I have tried a few different journals this size (all more expensive) and these are among the few that didn't give me problems with my beloved fountain pens.These are beautiful notebooks. They can be used for whatever, journal, lists, ideas, grocery list, notes, etc.The color is truly beautiful. Well made, feels like moleskin. Soft. It is a nice little book to put in with a basket of books, wine and snacks; or give to someone who has a new purse; stocking stuffer; give with a vintage pen, wrapped in old lace; and so on. Service was quick and the item is absolutely better than described. I will order from this site again.Everything about this item is over and above expected. The care and effort that went into the design, workmanship and quality attains the level of a work of art. The pages are thick and silky. I’d feel proud to present these to a boardroom executive or a child that loves beautiful things. The hardback is covered in smooth felt-like fabric and the tree symbol is embossed. I will be using one to log my daily yoga practice, and since the pages aren’t stamped with day and date I’m free to write as much or as little as necessary, but the 3-year calendar at the front will be useful. The pair of notebooks come in a thick black card pocket with the make printed in silver. Congratulations to the makers who obviously put a lot of thought and love into the design.Good looking and very well priced.Like an English professor told my husband years ago - it helps if you can read. He didn’t mean for it to be condescending but wanted to stress the need to read things carefully. And to be honest, if I had done so (read carefully), I would have noticed that these journals were not large, but small (a little bigger than pocket sized). Don’t get me wrong, they are still nice. This is a two pack that comes with two beautiful journals. They are very attractive, a neutral mossy green leather (perfect for women and men) with a tree emblazoned on the front. The journal can fit into your book bag or purse. It has a built-in pen holder, bookmark, and elastic band for closure. The pages are decent quality and lined. I plan to give these to some law students/interns that I know. I think they will appreciate them and find them to be useful in preparing them for the upcoming semester. I’d recommend these.I got these thinking I was going to recieve one notebook, and I recieved 2! I got them because my daughter likes to steal the notebook I use for bills and work to do her own "very important business." SO... I figured I could get her one!When I found out there were 2 great notebooks, I did what any mom would do and planted the decoy! It's a very soft leather like material, good line spacing and plenty of pages, plus the tree design is super adorable!She did make short work of ripping out the ribbon book mark, but other than that this little notebook has held it on. I also use mine regularly for grocery lists as it is the perfect size to not be inconvenient! For about $3 a notebook, I can't imagine a better deal! Plus there are a wide variety of awesome colors to pick, and the color of this was exactly as pictured. I'm very pleased and definitely recommend!
